Our 3:1 heat shrink tubing is a "dual-wall" construction. It is made of two different materials, the outer wall is Polyolefin heat shrink and the inner wall is a hot melt adhesive. When heated the inner glue layer begins to flow and the outer shrinks allowing the inner layer to form an adhesion between the tubing and the wire providing a water-tight seal, protecting from corrosion.
